A musical and meditative performance dealing with the extremely traumatic and difficult experiences of women during World War II in the Soviet army .
Four actresses and a drummer take us through a séance full of painful and devastating stories . Weaving the stories together can be reassuring and the mutual support the women offer each other , allowing them to relive the trauma together .
The spheres of the space refer to the circle: the most primal form of communal story telling . Two semi-circular string curtains also invite the audience to experience together (the audience is included in the circle). The stone table is at the same time an altar on which young women sacrifice their lives and it represents an ancient pyre being prepared for the Iphigenia. The sculpture, consisting of 40 fluorescent tubes, symbolizes the movement of a bullet decomposed into frames frozen in motion as if caught in the cliché of war photography.
