A freestyle work. Hand crafted.
The work Monolith is one of my attempt for seeking a
sculptural form in textile designing. My goal is to develop a
dialogical form with both sculpture and textile art.
As a consequence of my experience in space creating,
I am looking for three-dimensionality in textile designing.
All surface fill is made from stretch foil, which I used in this
piece as a one of yarn. I’ve combined the strips of stretch
foil with cotton yarn. The combination of yarn material
with stretch foil is really the combination of nature and
something artificial and it gives interesting tension.
